The End Journey of 10x Naturals & The Path To Getting My Pro Card
To recap, I've been dieting for nearly four months. Many have witnessed my dedication, sacrifice, and dedication. It wasn't easy. I had moments where I wanted to throw in the towel and give up, but if I did, what example would I be leading? Competing in Maidenhead, England, was a massive success. I met many talented athletes, all with a background and journeys of their own. Being the only individual from Puerto Rico was another rewarding opportunity. I got to represent one of my homes and people. This will always be one of the best and most remarkable opportunities I can get in my bodybuilding career.
I stated several times that I don't consider myself a bodybuilder. My primary objective throughout my business and journey in bodybuilding is to inspire you and others to have a story of their own. Yes, many would say I am an athlete or bodybuilder. Technically, this is true, but I don't place titles upon myself. This is not who I am. Nevertheless, after competing at 10X Naturals, my motives and goals shifted.
For starters, allow me to share my experience at 10X Naturals. Once again, I was competing in two divisions, Men's Classic Physique and Men's Physique. I came in first place in Men's Physique (True Novice) and third place in Men's Physique (Novice). My original goal was to enter the top five, but I was blessed to be placed in the top three. This was a major success. The emotion and joy that I was feeling can't be explained. Happiness and excitement are the best words I can say compared to the explanation I wish to provide. Nevertheless, as previously stated, I cannot find the words to describe them.
On the contrary, I follow several famous bodybuilders, and their stories are impacting. Some no longer compete, but some continue to strive to win the Olympia. After placing high at 10X Naturals and doing some reflection, I decided I wanted to continue my journey in bodybuilding. This indicates that my next task is to prepare for my Pro Card. I will compete in a natural show. I like a fair competition, but this will require more work than my previous prep. Furthermore, I will be doing a two-year off-season. Why? If I want to have a chance at winning my Pro Card, I need to have a Pro Card Physique. It will be tempting to cut my off-season to a year or not stick to the two-year off-season plan because being in an off-season for nearly two years can be boring, but this is the road I must take. Big goals require big sacrifices.
What made me want to continue my path in bodybuilding or take it to the next level? Once again, coming in the top three at 10X Naturals was a blast. I didn't think I would reach this massive goal quickly, especially when I had no coach. Nonetheless, I continued to reflect on my gift and passion. As I was walking in London, I entered a store to buy some gifts for the family, and one of the workers asked me where I was coming from (my accent gave me away). While I mentioned I was coming from the US, I told him about my visit to London. He was shocked that I was a bodybuilder. However, I was telling him my timeframe in this sport.
He and his other co-worker gave me inspiration and encouragement to continue my path in bodybuilding. With that said, I noticed I enjoy more Classic than Men's Physique. In other words, I will no longer compete in Men's Physique. I decided to switch to Classic. Why? I can be very creative, especially when crafting a solo presentation. Creating an artistic presentation allows you to show everyone your body but your creativity. You can be yourself. For me, this is why I enjoyed Classic Physique, and this is why I will continue on this path.
Competing at 10X Naturals was one of the best moments in my fitness career. Meeting many talented athletes is always a bonus. For me, it is not about who has the better physique. It is about the enjoyment of the sport, making friends, and memories. That is what Bodybuilding is about. You don't win at a show, but you win daily by not giving in.
