About Me

What is MPM Fitness?

MPM Fitness was born from a simple vision: to redefine what coaching looks like.

It started with a passion, but became a purpose: to help people build not only stronger bodies, but stronger minds, habits, and faith. After years of being in the fitness world, I saw too many people being coached without care, treated like numbers instead of individuals. MPM Fitness was created to change that. It’s a brand built on faith, purpose, and evidence-based results.

At MPM Fitness, I don’t believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all programs. Every client is unique, and every plan is tailored with intention, combining science, structure, and support. Whether you’re stepping on stage or simply striving to look and feel your best, our focus is the same: to help you grow through the process, not just grind through it.

What sets MPM Fitness apart is the heart behind it. Here, you are coached with integrity, empathy, and precision. There is value in the journey as much as the outcome. The mission isn’t just to transform bodies, it’s to build character, confidence, and consistency that lasts a lifetime.

Because at MPM Fitness, this isn’t just training. It’s a calling, and every client that is served is part of that purpose.

Who AM I?

My name is Matthew Marquez, and fitness has been more than a passion; it’s been part of my identity since childhood. From the moment I picked up a fifteen-pound dumbbell and pushed through my first set of push-ups, something inside me came alive. I didn’t realize it then, but those early moments planted the seed for the purpose God had already placed within me.

As I grew older, that passion became discipline. In college, everything changed. I began to understand what fitness truly meant. Not just physical transformation, but becoming stronger, more focused, and more faithful. It was then that I decided to build a life around this calling. Yet even as I improved and helped others, I knew something was missing, a deeper purpose behind the work.

That purpose revealed itself in 2023, when I walked off stage from my first bodybuilding show. That experience shifted everything. After my second show, I knew I had found my place. I didn’t just love the sport, I loved what it represented: dedication, perseverance, and the relentless pursuit of better. From that point on, I knew I was meant to coach. Not just athletes, but anyone striving to bring out their best.

But I also saw something in the industry that didn’t sit right with me. Too many coaches led from ego, not empathy. They pushed clients through pride, not purpose. I wanted to change that, to coach differently, with integrity, understanding, and joy, because fitness should refine you, not break you. Especially for younger athletes, I wanted to make the process something they could love, not just endure.

Over the years, I’ve been mentored by elite bodybuilding coaches and seasoned trainers, gaining the knowledge and wisdom to coach both bodybuilders and lifestyle clients at the highest level. My approach is rooted in evidence, experience, and heart. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all plans. Every program I design is personal, intentional, and aligned with your goals.

People often describe me as the quiet coach. The one you don’t always see on social media, but the one whose clients always speak for him, and I take pride in that, because my work isn’t about the spotlight, it’s about service.

Yes, this is my passion, but more than that, it’s my calling.

I believe God gave me this gift to help people grow. Not just in strength, but in purpose. My mission is simple: to teach, guide, and walk with you through your bodybuilding or fitness journey. This isn’t about quick transformations; it’s about real, lasting change in body, mind, and spirit.
