My Journey Into Bodybuilding

Follow My Journey as a Classic Physique Competitor

Recently, I asked my followers what topics they wanted me to address. Some requested a diet topic, which I already discussed last week (be sure to check that out). On the other hand, one of my followers asked me if I could share my experience competing in bodybuilding. At the beginning of my fitness career, I stated I would NEVER compete, especially in bodybuilding. I never saw the meaning of comparing my physique with other athletes since it could've led to mental, physical, emotional, and financial discouragement. It didn't bring any interest to me whatsoever but never say never. Just like many bodybuilders, entering this sport comes from a broken or painful experience, at least from what I was told by some. Before competing, I experienced manipulation. I believed I needed to give others so much, but the truth is, I wasn't giving myself the privilege to love myself. On the contrary, many people told me I should compete since I have the discipline and dedication, but as stated earlier, I had no interest. However, after reflecting on my past, thoughts, and people's recommendations, I decided to take my shot and see how far I could go in bodybuilding.

Entering bodybuilding has led me to increase my knowledge and embrace different challenges. It has allowed me to meet many talented competitors. Just like me, some traveled around the globe to compete in a bodybuilding show. From my perspective, I learned a lot about myself. I learned what I could tolerate, where I needed to progress, and which category or division I enjoyed competing in most. After competing at 10X Naturals, I realized and stated that I prefer Men's Classic. The reason for this was because I have more creativity. I mentioned this in my "The End Journey of 10X Naturals & The Path To Getting My Pro Card" blog, but repeatedly, one of the things I enjoyed about Men's Classic was the solo presentation. Many competitors highlight their physiques by performing a solo presentation. While each category has different timeframes (performing their solo presentations), showcasing my body artistically and theatrically made me realize this was the perfect division for me. Bodybuilding is more than just a sport, in my opinion. It is art. I believe in showcasing my body to the public and judges artistically.

How? Once again, by being creative with my solo presentation(s). Having the opportunity to pick a song and create an enjoyable and artistic routine is fun, for me, at least. On the contrary, competing in bodybuilding shows has allowed me to overcome my fears and accept new challenges, as noted earlier. Fitness is my specialty and gift. This is an area where I feel I can make a difference. My primary goal with my business and my journey in bodybuilding is spreading encouragement and motivation. I understand the pressure or fear you may embrace daily. However, if I traveled to different locations, and stood in front of people to do my mandatory poses & solo presentation, I am confident you can begin your journey in fitness or do whatever you seek out to perform.

Does this mean I will switch my attention to bodybuilding? Not entirely. I still want to help people live a healthy lifestyle. This means assisting them in any way possible, particularly in fitness. I don't believe nor mandate my clients to "do this" or "eat this." My fitness goals will not always relate to theirs. This is why I created different programs that fit the client's lifestyle. Many have daily jobs. Many are students, and some have time on their hands. Whatever the scenario is, I always consider my client's preference or lifestyle. It's not about having them meet my preference but about me meeting theirs.

Going back to my bodybuilding journey, my path remains the same. Pack on size for two years, pick a show, shred down, and make my goal become a reality. This will take time, dedication, and consistency, but with the tools I use and share with others, the journey won't be too challenging. If I can see it, I can achieve it. Perhaps you want to make a change in your life. Maybe your goal is to change how you physically look. Just remember, EVERYONE starts somewhere. I started training in college, back when I was twenty-one years old. I was a skinny guy with zero fitness guidance, but I allowed myself to learn how to train. Six years later, my physique is better compared to how I physically started. If I did it, I know you can too.

So allow me to ask you a question. Do you want to build a remarkable body? I challenge you to join today by selecting one of my programs that fits your needs and lifestyle in the "Collection" section. Make today the beginning of a new defined body and life! Your new life is waiting for you.
